Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate

MA, Southern Connecticut State University

BS, Western Connecticut State University

I’m Nicole Lewis. Many people like to call me “Nikki”. When I am not working, I am literally immersing myself in the art of crochet, knitting and fashion design. I am also in the beginning stages of learning how to play the electric guitar. I LOVE music and all things that is ARTISTRY. I do also consider myself an artist in the realm of psychotherapy.

I have been practicing Marriage and Family Therapy and Gestalt Psychotherapy for twenty plus years. I see individuals, couples, families, and adolescents experiencing several different issues such as depression, anxiety, trauma, body dysmorphic issues, identity, and spirituality issues. Further, in conjunction with my Gestalt training, I am well versed in dream interpretation. I also specialize in issues with motivation and procrastination as it pertains to academia and career decisions. Let’s work together to challenge and reframe negative self-talk that catalyzes these issues that are at the forefront of your mind.

I tell clients all the time that they have the answers and I am merely a guide to help them become, first aware of their issue at hand, second plan out a strategy to heal the issue and third work on ways to maintain their healthy revelations so that they can begin living full, meaningful and vibrant lives- actual living in the healing you have come to receive through therapy. My method is the use of Gestalt Psychotherapy in conjunction with a little humor, mindfulness, and contemplation in the journey to finding peace that surpasses all understanding in the midst of the chaos in the world we are currently living in that is happening in real time on a daily basis. I can’t promise therapy will be easy, but I will promise through your time you invest and the work you put into your process, you will get to what you’ve been TRUTHFULLY searching for.
