Matthew Oestreicher, MA, LPC-A
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate and therapeutic mentor who works with individuals across a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, stress, life transitions, and personal growth. I hold degrees from Tufts University, New England Conservatory of Music, and New York University, and bring a multidisciplinary background that integrates clinical training with extensive experience in the arts, education, and executive leadership.
Before entering clinical work, I built a career as a musician, educator, and leader in high-performance creative environments. I have collaborated with a wide range of
artists across television, Broadway, and live performances, and have spent many years coaching and mentoring individuals under pressure, helping them develop focus, confidence, and resilience. I am also a published author.
My therapeutic approach is collaborative, practical, and grounded in helping clients build self-awareness, emotional regulation, and a stronger sense of direction. I draw from evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and client- centered therapy, while also incorporating a longstanding personal and professional study of mind-body practices, including meditation, yoga, martial arts, and psychodrama. I work to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients can think clearly, feel more grounded, and make meaningful changes in their lives.
